For the first time, Alcon will be an exhibitor at the Galvanizers Association Meeting in Toronto, Canada from Sunday October 29, 2000 through Wednesday November 1,2000. Alcon will be located in Booth #31. Alcon offers numerous alloy cast and fabricated products and solutions for the Galvanizing Industry to reduce cost and improve performance. Alcon utilizes engineering expertise, a commitment to service, and a philosophy of win-win partnerships to offer the best cost solutions to its customers.

Alcon returned to the ASM Heat Treat Show as an exhibitor. Residing in both #1330, Alcon received a lot of interest in nickel aluminide products in addition to the broad capabilities in alloy fabrication and castings. Alcon has been a leading supplier of heat and corrosion resistant alloy products to the heat treat industry since it's inception in 1977.

Alcon announces the resignation of Mr. William Habansky Jr., as Vice-Chairman/COO of Alcon Industries, Inc. Mr. Habansky had been President of Alcon Industries since 1994. Prior to 1994, he was the President of Ferralloy, Inc. The Ferralloy trade name was maintained by Alcon will now revert back to Mr. Habansky's company. Mr. Habansky will continue to market Alcon products and services as an independent representative and a long future business relationship is expected.
Alcon Industries, Inc. is pleased to announce the promotion of President John W. McCracken to the position of President/Chief Operating Officer of Alcon Industries, Inc. Mr. McCracken joined the company in June 1999 as the President. Mr. McCracken will assume a greater role in the marketing and sales efforts of the company. Alcon markets it products through an international network of manufacturer's representatives , in addition to a few direct customer relationships.

Alcon Industries would like to announce the addition of Andrew White as CFO
Andy was the CFO for Tailor Welded Banks in Monroe, Michigan. Prior to joining Tailor Welded Banks, Andy was employed by U.S. Can in Columbiana, OH as their Divisional Controller and Operations Manager and by Cold Metal Products in Youngstown, OH as their Plant Controller. Andy received a BA from Davis and Elkins College and an MBA from Youngstown State University.

Alcon Industries, Inc. is pleased to announce the promotion of President William S. Habansky, Jr. to Vice-Chairman and Chief Operating Officer of Alcon Industries, Inc. and the appointment of John W. McCracken to the position of President. Mr. Habansky has been President of Alcon Industries since 1994. In his new role, Mr. Habansky will be focusing on the areas of sales and new business development.
Mr. McCracken is a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University with a degree in Business Administration. Upon graduation, he joined the United States Armed Forces where he served as a member of the U.S. Army Special Forces. After completing his duties with the service, John joined Worthington Steel where he has spent approximately 25 years. His most recent assignment was as President of Tailor Welded Blanks in Monroe, Michigan-a joint venture between Worthington and Thyssen, Inc. John will be formally joining Alcon Industries on June 1, 1999.
